Swipeable image tile lists

The new “Static list: Swipe” formatter displays image tiles side by side in a slider. Visitors can view the entries by swiping on touch devices or dragging with the mouse.

This display is available for lists using image tile teasers, including Media, Articles, Events and Decoys. It works on all screen sizes. The new “9:16 - Smartphone (Portrait)” image format can also be used.

The list displays the number of results specified under “Number of elements”. Additional results are not loaded.

Configuring the swipe display and text

In the list’s element settings, select the “Static list: Swipe” formatter. Two new settings control how the text is displayed:

  • Text position: “Below the image” or “As image overlay” sets the position regardless of screen size. With “Automatic”, text appears below the image on small screens and as an overlay on larger screens.
  • Displayed text: Choose “Show only the title” or “Show title and preface”. With “Automatic”, the title and preface appear below the image, while only the title appears in the overlay.

The remaining settings largely match those of the Slider. These include “Visible slides” for the number of tiles displayed simultaneously, as well as “Rotation timer”, “Pause On Hover”, “Transition speed”, “Show navigation arrows” and “Show Navigation Dots”. By default, the display advances automatically every five seconds. For manual navigation only, select “No automatic image rotation” under “Rotation timer”.
