Map search is a special list formatter exclusively made for the Organization, Person, POI, and Contact information element types.
Provided that elements of the four types mentioned are consequently enriched with GPS coordinates, those elements cannot only be displayed with textual teasers but also with an interactive searchable map.
Clicking on a marker in the interactive map opens a pop-up window with detail information.
One can search for locations and contacts via a radius search, a text search, and via category filters.
Events can be used with the “Dynamic list: Map search” formatter. “Events” here also refers to church services, to which the following points apply equally.
Only the event locations are displayed on the map, but no information about the individual events at that location.
First, the locations of all results are always displayed, which can then be narrowed down using the filter options on the map.
When setting the geocoordinates, please note:
If a location is assigned to an event via a location reference, the geocoordinates of the location are automatically adopted for the event.
It is also possible to enter the geocoordinates directly with the address in an event.
If no geocoordinates are assigned to an event, it will be displayed in the results list but not on the map.
Only events at locations with exactly the same geocoordinates are grouped together on the map.
If the geocoordinates of events differ even slightly, two locations are displayed on the map.
Locations that are very close to each other on the map may not be distinguishable even at the maximum zoom level, as the markers may overlap almost completely.
Show individual hits for the location on the map
Additional information about the hits belonging to this location can be displayed in the marker pop-ups for the locations. This could be, for example, events taking place at the selected location.
To display the additional information, the element setting Marker Date display must be used.
The following options can be selected:
Don't show dates: This is the default setting, where no additional hit information for the location is displayed.
Show link to hit list of dates for this location: A link with the number of hits for the location is displayed. Clicking on the link displays only the hits belonging to the selected location in the list below the map.
Show the next 5 dates and a link to all hits: In addition to the link to the hits for the location, the first 5 hits are displayed. The sorting corresponds to the list below the map.
Show the next 10 dates and a link to all hits: In addition to the link to the hits for the location, the first 10 hits are displayed. The sorting corresponds to the list below the map.
Show local facilities on the map
The marker popups for locations can display the facility information for that place as icons.
The Marker popup - Facilities element setting is used to configure the display.
The following options can be selected:
No selection: The default setting configured for the site is used to display the icons.
Show icons for facilities: The icons with facility information are displayed below the address in the marker popup.
Do not show icons for facilities: The icons with facility information are not displayed.

Append - Loading happens by appending further list pages below the list. This is good for small screens, e.g. smartphones.
In order to work best for large and small screens, it is possible to automatically switch between these options at a certain screen size.
The screen sizes XS, SM, MD and LG are defined by the Bootstrap grid system.
Pagination position(Select box)
Controls the position of the pagination bar below the list.
This is only relevant in case the setting pagination is active for loading of additional pages.
Map format (mobile)(Select/combo box)
