The Direktorium displays the liturgical calendar for the current day.

The Directorium can be displayed with or without daily readings, as well as with or without liturgical colors. This can be selected using the element settings.

It is possible to configure a special sub-church calendar for the directory. By setting the direktorium.kirche property on a site or subsite folder, a sub-church calendar is selected. Possible values include (among others):
- bamberg
- bistumaachen
- mainz
- koeln
The complete list of all possible sub-churches can be found here. If the property is not set, the general calendar for the German-speaking region is selected.
For church services, the readings from the Direktorium are optimized for the following days:
- Maundy Thursday
- Easter Sunday
- Pentecost Assumption of Mary
- Christmas - Solemnity of the Nativity of the Lord
This optimization combines all readings for the day together under a common title.
The Direktorium is retrieved from an external server and loaded into a cache. In the unlikely event that this cache needs to be emptied, there is an additional dynamic function called Direktorium Cache Manager.
