Dialog “Optimize gallery”

The Optimize gallery dialog is available for image galleries in the OpenCms workplace. Among other things, this can be used to find and delete unused images and documents.

Opening the dialog

The dialog is available in the OpenCms Explorer.

To display the dialog for a specific (image) gallery, navigate to the folder containing the gallery and select Optimize gallery from the context menu.

Delete and edit

The following editing functions are available:

Delete images and documents that are not directly used.
Edit the properties Title, Copyright, and Description of all items in the gallery at once.

Filter and sort

You can filter by the properties Title, Copyright and Description. Only the items in the gallery that match the search term entered are automatically displayed.

The results can be sorted by date, title, and file path. In addition, deleted items and items without copyright information can be sorted to the top.
