Decoy

A decoy can be used in lists to create links to arbitrary web pages, also on other servers.

The visualisation of the decoy is identical to that of an article in the same list.

The decoy should only be used in a list. In some installations, direct usage on a page is possible, but this is not recommended. Instead of a decoy, it is better to use a content section directly on a page.

Example decoy, displayed using the "Elaborate decoy teaser" formatter

If a decoy points to invalid content or contains an incorrect, “dead” or non-existent link, it will no longer be displayed online. In “offline” editing mode, the element will be highlighted with a hatched background.

The image tile teaser displays a shortened version of the content with a prominent image and a text excerpt that lies on top of the image. In addition, a link to the detail view of the content is generated.

The teaser items can be arranged next to each other in the list like tiles, where the image format set defines the size of the teaser item.

The accordion teaser displays the content in the form of an accordiont that is automatically generated by the list.

A special feature of accordion lists is that they do NOT link to a detail view, as all essential information of the content is already displayed in the accordion.

This teaser can only be used in a static list.

The blog teaser presents the content with a prominent image and one or more paragraphs in a format specially optimized for blogs. A link to the detail view of the content is also generated.
