New features in the newsletter

There is a new “Exit editor” button in the newsletter editor, which takes you directly back to the page editor. Furthermore, mailings no longer appear in the newsletter archive after a test mailing.

This feature is not included in the open source version of the Mercury template, but is part of the Mercury extension pack from Alkacon Software. Please contact us if you are interested in our Mercury extensions.

Previously, you may have had to click several times to return from the newsletter editor to the ‘normal’ page editor.

The newsletter editor now features a new button called Exit Editor, which closes the application and takes the editor directly back to the page editor without any additional clicks.

Newsletters sent for testing purposes no longer appear in the newsletter archive on the website. This only happens once the newsletter has actually been sent.

Editors should note that links to the web version of a newsletter, for example, will only work once the newsletter has actually been sent.

As long as only a test mailing has taken place, such links to the web version will lead to a 404 error page.
