Hiding the “Detail Pages” tab in the sitemap editor

In the sitemap editor, the “Detail Pages” tab in the dialog for adding pages can be hidden for users depending on their roles.

A new global option allows you to link the visibility of the “Detail Pages” tab in the sitemap editor to a specific role.

Only if a user has at least this role the tab “Detail Pages” is displayed for this user in the sitemap editor. If this role is set to “Template Developer” or “Root Administrator” for example, “normal” editors would not see the tab “Detail Pages” at all.

This allows the creation of detail pages to be restricted to certain user groups only.

This feature is automatically enabled when installing OpenCms version 21 or later. Users with the "Template Developer" role can see the "Detail Pages" tab; for all other users, it is hidden.

When updating from an older version of OpenCms, the "Detail Pages" tab remains visible to all users. Changes must be made to the OpenCms configuration to enable the feature.

Currently, the “Detail Pages” tab is only hidden for the Diocese of Mainz; for all other dioceses, it is visible to all users.
