The Internal search customization field influences the page's ranking in the website's internal search. The following options are available:
- No customization
- Rank higher: Only if keywords are found (this is the default setting)
- Rank higher: Always when the page is found
These settings allow the page to be displayed higher up in the internal search results.
With “Rank higher: Only when keywords are found,” the ranking is only changed if one of the keywords specified in the meta info element is actually searched for.
With “Rank higher: Whenever the page is found,” the page is also ranked higher when it is found in a search, even if none of the specified keywords were searched for.
Please note that exact placement is not possible, as several pages can be ranked higher, for example.
External search engines, such as Google, are not affected by this setting.
Hits that have been tagged with a keyword via meta information can also be highlighted as “top hits” in the output. There is a new element setting in the search function for this purpose.
