Slider:The formatter "Timed hero image"

The slider creates a slide show or an image carousel with a configurable interval where images with texts are displayed.

The slider variant timed hero image behaves largely like the banner hero image slider. However, there is no automatic animated image change. Instead, the system determines which image is to be displayed once during loading. This image is then displayed permanently.

This reduces the number of animations on a page, but still shows different images when the page is visited several times during the day.

The element settings can be used to set the time period in which the images are changed when the page is loaded. Furthermore, it can be set whether the images can still be dragged manually by the user or changed using the arrow or dot buttons.

Available element settings

CSS modification (Select box)

Image format (mobile) (Select/combo box)

The image format for small screens like smartphones.

Allows you to set the image size based on common formats.

The image will automatically be scaled so that the original pixels are best fitted to the selected target format.

Instead of the presets, you can also manually enter any format. Use "width-height", for example "5-1" for an extreme wide format.

The image format for large desktop screens.

Rotation timer (Select/combo box)

Controls the time after which the image changes when the page is reloaded.

Text display (Select box)

Controls how the text is displayed in different devices.

Text title as headline (Select/combo box)

Controls if the text title of the images should be shown as a headline.

This is relevant for search engines (SEO) and will not change the visual "size" of the title.

Title background (Select/combo box)

Sets an individual background color for the title or subtitle on the image.

Subtitle background (Select/combo box)

Sets an individual background color for the title or subtitle on the image.

Show Navigation Dots (Select box)

Controls if and how clickable dots are shown for each image.

Show navigation arrows (Check box)

If checked, navigation arrows are shown.

Images are draggable (Check box)

If checked, the images can be manually dragged using the mouse or touch gestures.

Show image copyright (Check box)

Controls if the copyright information for images is displayed as an overlay.
