Dynamic function:The function "Search function"

The search function is used to display the results of the integrated full-text search.

Available element settings

Allows to change the element layout using predefined CSS modifications.

Please note that a specific element may not support all listed modifications.

Controls the number of search results displayed on a page.

If more results are found, a pagination is displayed below the search results.

The maximum number of facet entries that is directly displayed (before "Show more" is clicked).

If 0 is entered the facets are not displayed.

Controls which placeholder text is displayed in the search slot.

If this is not set, a page language depended default like "Enter query" is displayed.

Controls which text is displayed in the search button.

If this is not set, a page language depended default like "Go" is displayed.

Specifies the parts of the website to search in.

Controls whether, and if yes how the date is displayed.

Instead of the presets, you can also manually enter any format.

If you for example enter "EEE, dd-MM-yy", an output like "Sun, 01-10-17" is generated.

Controls if the title of the sub-sitemap in which the search result is located should be displayed.
Controls if a badge with the type of the search result is displayed.
Controls if a badge is shown for results that have been manually ranked higher using the Meta info element field Internal search customization.

Controls if a text excerpt is displayed for each search result.

If possible, the search query is highlighted in the text excerpt.

If checked, search is performed even if no search term is provided.

Determines how the individual words of the search query are combined.

If the option is selected, each search result must contain all search words. If it is not selected, each result must only contain at least one of the search words. However, results that contain many of the search words will appear further up the list.
